The short version
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies on this site. Our analytics tool, Plausible, runs without cookies at all. The only cookies you might encounter are strictly necessary ones used briefly during form submission to stop bots and validate session state.
If you have ever ticked "reject all" on a banner and felt cynical about whether anything actually changed, this is what doing it the other way looks like.
What we use on this site
Strictly necessary
- Form-submission tokens. Short-lived cookies that prevent automated abuse of our contact, newsletter, and affiliate-signup forms. These expire as soon as your submission completes.
- Session state for the chat panel. If you open the on-site chat with Milo, a temporary identifier is stored in browser memory (not a cookie) so the conversation thread holds together while the panel is open. Closing the panel clears it.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to count visits and understand which pages people read. Plausible does not use cookies. It does not collect personal data, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track you across sites. Aggregate counts only.
Advertising
None. We do not run ads on this site, so no ad cookies are set by us or anyone else.
Third parties
If you click an outbound link to a third-party tool, that provider may set its own cookies on its own domain. Their policies apply once you are there. We do not embed third-party trackers on this site.
How to control cookies
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies and a cookieless analytics tool, there is nothing on this site to opt out of. If you would still like to clear or block cookies generally, every modern browser lets you do so from its privacy settings.
Do Not Track
We honour Do Not Track headers as a matter of course. Since we are not running any tracking in the first place, the practical effect is the same either way.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what we use cookies for, we will update this page and flag the change before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when this version was published.
